Welcome to General Psychology!

This course is an introduction the field, which covers a wide range of perspectives on perhaps the most important and personal, enduring mystery of modern life: how our minds work. We will consider the basics of brain function, how we think, learn and remember, and how we interact with each other and with society more widely. We will consider the basis for emotions, both good and bad, as well as some examples of neuro-atypicality and psychological pathology.

Most sessions are lecture-based: we will meet in F.G.4 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1130-1245.

Class reading is from the Noba textbook, which you can find online here
